Advice

I've seen a few Publicity Designs really score well at States.  The one thing all four seem to have in common is the concept of a THEME.  Have an overall concept of who you are selling the play to, and devise a hook to grab their attention and get them to come.  Then be CONSISTENT throughout your design.

A clever marketing idea is always a good plus, and provides the needed "oomph" to get from Excellent to Superior, but you need to have that theme, and all of your financial research done to even get there.

Show that you know how to get to your audience - social media is always a good medium for reaching a target demographic.

Finally, don't just SAY you'll include social media or make a cool commercial, actually DO IT.
